Good deal on a Rockhopper

I was in the market for a new mountain bike and found the Rockhopper Sport 29 on sale. Got a decent discount, which made it a much better value than some other places I looked. Shipping was free for me, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I felt like I got a good bike for the price I paid.

Consistently good service

I've bought from the Specialized Concept Store a few times now, mainly smaller gear like bib shorts and gloves. This time I needed a new set of tires for my Roubaix. As usual, the order was processed quickly, and the tires arrived exactly when they said they would. It's that reliability that keeps me coming back; I know what to expect and they always deliver. Never had an issue with returns either, though I haven't needed to recently.

Thinking of getting a new Tarmac, but I'm in Manchester. How long does delivery usually take for bikes? Don't want to wait forever.

I got a Diverge delivered to Liverpool last spring, it was like 5-7 working days. They use a special courier for bikes, so it's not super fast like Amazon but def reliable.

Mine took about a week and a half for a Turbo Levo, to Leeds. Seemed pretty standard for a bike delivery, they gotta prep it and everything.

What's the return policy like if the bike isn't quite right when it arrives? I'm thinking of ordering a Sirrus but sometimes sizing can be tricky online.

I think for bikes it's a bit different than accessories, but I remember seeing they have a specific process. You'd probably need to contact them pretty quick and might have to ship it back yourself or arrange for their courier.

Yeah, returns were easy for some shoes I bought, but for a bike, it's a bigger hassle. Definitely check their site for the exact bike return policy, it's usually different from smaller items.

Are these guys legit? Specialized Concept Store? There's so many fake sites out there selling bikes, just wanna make sure I'm not getting ripped off before I drop some serious cash on a new Roubaix.

D Dan 2 months ago
Yeah, they're 100% legit. It's an official Specialized dealer, not some random pop-up shop. Bought my Stumpjumper from them a couple years back, no issues at all.

Totally legit. They're basically the official Specialized shop in the UK. Don't worry about fakes with them.

Vs Sigma Sports, how do these guys compare on price and service? Looking at getting a Diverge, and both seem to have good stock.

W Wendy T. 2 months ago
Specialized Concept Store is obviously just Specialized stuff, so if you're set on that brand, their staff probably know it inside out. Sigma has a broader range of brands. Price-wise, for Specialized, it often evens out unless one has a specific sale.

I find the service at the Concept Store to be really focused because it's just one brand. They know every model. Sigma is good too, but sometimes the broader selection means less in-depth knowledge on one specific bike. For discounts, sometimes the Concept Store has ex-display deals that are pretty good.

Hey, does the new customer discount work on bikes that are already on sale? Saw a sweet deal on an older model Epic but wondering if I can stack another 10% off.

C Cleo J. 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure those new customer codes usually don't stack with sale items. Most places are like that. It's usually one or the other.

I tried that last year with a helmet on clearance and it didn't work. The system just picks the best discount for you, so if the bike's already heavily discounted, that's what you get.
